A movie based on the life of Finnish musician Kika. Although he wanted to perform as a duet with his colleague DJ Paula, his employer insisted that he take the stage as a solo singer. A nude incident at his debut performance catapults him to stardom and thrusts him into the spotlight. Her sexualized image is viewed by some with prejudice and condemnation, and by others as an object of admiration. Balancing her glittering heyday with the pain behind the scenes, the film carefully portrays the relationship between Paula and Kika in the 1980s, which remained more than just a friendship.
