Synopsis

Dina, Effie, and Laurel form a trio called the Dreamettes. After an ambitious manager, Curtis Taylor Jr. sees them perform at a talent show, he offers them the opportunity of a lifetime to be backup singers for a big star. Taylor takes control of the group's direction and pushes them into the spotlight. As one member becomes a star and the others are pushed aside, they realize the price of fame.
