As the world grows increasingly fascinated with Korean culture and music, the film highlights the vibrant underground scene that often lies hidden behind mainstream success. Program Note

His name is Hwang Doo-gi, but he’s better known on stage as “Radio Revolution.” According to fellow DJs, his talent spans an impressive range—from house disco to deep techno to minimal—defying easy categorization. This documentary first presents his dazzling stage career and the admiration of his peers, then delves into his personal reflections as a DJ: the concerns he faces and the values he seeks in life. The film emphasizes Hwang's commitment to maintaining a balance rather than leaning too far in any one direction, highlighting his statement that he exists in the space between. This is the meaning behind the title My Grey Zone. (Heo Nam-woong)
