Synopsis

Baby (25, female), a drifter gypsy, moves into a new apartment complex and becomes friends with her next-door neighbor who introduces himself as “Jesus” (33, male). One day, due to a mistake on Baby’s part, she discovers that secret government agents are coming to capture Jesus. To protect her one and only friend, she engages in a fierce showdown. Will Baby be able to protect her friend Jesus and their apartment complex?

Program Note

Baby (Seokhee) can’t enjoy any peace and quiet thanks to the loud music coming from the apartment next door. When she knocks on the door to complain—bam! Standing before her is a man with the appearance of Jesus, and he even says his name is Jesus (Hong Sung-ho). A halo seems to glow around his head. Having always sought out homes where she could live alone, Baby experiences a series of events with Jesus that help her discover the meaning of living together with someone—and in that sense, she finds “salvation.” If salvation means finding peace of mind, this film also achieves that through music. Songs by Sam Wedgwood and Colin Sheen continuously flow in sync with the story’s emotional rhythm. (Heo Nam-woong)
