Synopsis

Bernard works behind the ticket booth window at Town Hall Square subway station, waiting for something he feels he may have forgotten. One day, a small tiger appears and disrupts Bernard’s perfectly ordered life.

Program Note

Bernard, a subway station employee, loves his small but perfectly ordered workspace. When an adorable baby tiger suddenly appears and turns Bernard’s world upside down, he finds himself unsure how to handle this new presence. The illusion of a perfect solitary life often crumbles when a charming intruder—another person—enters the picture. This animation portrays, like a fable, the journey of gradually making space for others and building new friendships through coexistence. (Choi Eun-young)

  • Born in Bonn in 1993, Christian Kaufmann studied media design in Cologne. After completing his studies in 2015, he worked as a motion designer in television production. In 2016, he began studying animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and graduated with the animated short film (2023). 't>
