Performance Information

As a special program to honor the late director Ryu Jang-ha, with deep ties to the Jecheon International Music Film Festival, this program allows both the participants and the audience to reflect on the life and works of the late director Ryu Jang-ha. Through 'JIMFF Live Music Talk,' directors, actors, and music directors who worked with Ryu Jang-ha share their stories about him. Together, we revisit his films and memories, traveling back to those times with the audience.

  • Heo Jin-ho
  • Heo Jin-ho debuted in 1998 with the film "August's Christmas" starring Han Seok-gyu and Shim Eun-ha, winning several awards including Best New Director and Best Director. Known for creating the 'Heo Jin-ho melodrama' genre with films like "Spring Days" (2001), "Exit" (2005), and "The Way Home" (2009), Heo continues to make impactful films. His recent project "The Queen of the Day" with Han Seok-gyu and Choi Min-sik will be released in the second half of this year. He has been serving as the executive chairman of the Jecheon International Music Film Festival since 2013.

  • A composer and music director, Cho Seong-woo has created soundtracks for over 60 films. Known for his insightful and intuitive approach, he has worked on notable films such as "August's Christmas" (1998), "Spring Days" (2001), and "The First Time" (2012), winning numerous awards including the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Music and the Jecheon Film Music Award in 2012.
