Four Musicians Drawing an Unpredictable Orbit in the Universe

‘Mystery Universe’ is a stage where you can meet unique musicians who were born somewhere in the unknown universe and have been drifting on unpredictable orbits until they reach us. Heize, Sunwoo Jung-A, So!YoON!, and Say will bring their special musical gifts, which they brought from a universe that we have not yet discovered, to the audience gathered at the JIMFF Cheongpung Lakeside Stage.

  • Composer, performer, producer. A true fan of silent films, Pukaluk often tours, adding his live performance to classic silent films. With a solid musical background, he blends different musical inspirations (classical, ambient, folk, pop) to create music that is diverse both in style and structure. His work blends emotional Slavic melodies with grand orchestral pieces, while dazzling rock tracks coexist with soft, spatial electronic sounds. In interviews, he has said that the image on the screen plays a crucial role in understanding his music, as the picture helps to clarify and finalize the composition of the music.

She challenges the typical notion of a ‘good vocalist’ and through her unconventional freedom, she creates bold new soundscapes, making her an artist who shapes the evolution of Korean pop music.

  • So!YoON! (Hwang So-yoon) began her career as a musician when she formed the band ‘Seoson’ in 2016 at the age of 18. Her extraordinary songwriting sense, stage energy, and unforgettable voice made her and her band stand out. She released her first full album [So!YoON!] in May 2019, which dismantled genre boundaries and proclaimed 'So!YoON! as a new genre,' making another sensational impact in the music scene.

  • R&B singer-songwriter Say released her first EP [THE ZONE] on SoundCloud in May 2017, recording 370,000 plays in just two months. She also released singles like [Circle (ft. Tish Hyman)] and a mixtape titled [THE HORIZON]. In 2018, she released her debut full album containing 18 tracks and continued to grow in popularity with her new single ‘ZGZG’ in June this year, bringing herself closer to the audience.
