A film concert is a delicate intersection where cinema meets music. Audiences can enjoy a film while experiencing its soundtrack performed live by an orchestra—a format beloved worldwide. The Jecheon International Music & Film Festival has previously produced film concerts for Leafie, A Hen into the Wild, One Fine Spring Day, and Oldboy, showcasing not only Korean cinema but also the excellence of Korean film music on a global stage.

This year’s film concert, Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War, will feature a full orchestra of more than 60 musicians and a choir of 20 vocalists.

Tae Guk Gi drew over 11.74 million viewers upon its release, becoming the second film in Korean history to surpass ten million admissions. As a landmark work that set the standard for domestic blockbusters and war films, it delivers a universal message of humanism through the tragic story of two brothers caught in war.

In 2024, the 20th anniversary of both the film’s release and the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, we aim to rekindle the emotional resonance of this monumental film.
