Synopsis

Mirae, a transgender who just can't live with her family, trys to get a house by assault settlement.

Program Note

The transgender protagonist Mirae leaves her home on the day her family discovers her true identity. Unable to stay with a family that cannot accept her for who she really is, Mirae begins saving money to find a place of her own. By chance, she meets a woman on the street who makes money by provoking physical altercations and then extorting settlement fees. Mirae tries to imitate this method to earn money, but things don’t go as smoothly as she hoped. The film's title, Nobody's Home, metaphorically represents Mirae’s situation. Lacking a safe haven where she can truly be herself, the question remains whether Mirae will ever find a home that aligns with her name, a place for her future. (Choi Eunyoung)
