Synopsis

Yoon-joo, an underemployed college part-time lecturer, becomes overly sensitive to the sound of a dog barking somewhere in his quiet middle-class apartment complex. One day, he finds a puppy on a neighbor's doorstep and impulsively locks it in the basement. However, things begin to spiral when Hyun-nam, a janitor at the complex, comes across a flyer looking for a lost dog named Pindol. Barking Dogs Never Bite was included in the inaugural selection of the “Best 5” by film music professionals. Viewers who appreciated Bong Joon-ho’s quirky imagination at the time of its release are encouraged to revisit the film with renewed attention to its soundtrack. Composer Cho Sung-woo was even honored with a special award at the 3rd Buenos Aires International Film Festival.
