Synopsis

Rose, who lives with the violent Roger, never gives up on her dream of becoming a singer. One day, she meets Dubel by chance, who wants to become her manager and help her pursue her dream. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when a pianist is murdered. This fantasy musical comedy, full of sweet and charming chansons, marks the directorial debut of renowned actress Nathalie Schmidt.

She laid the foundation for her acting career at Patrice Chéreau’s theater school in France and began acting in the 1983 TV drama Blue Island. Her filmography includes The Clowns of God (1986) and Old Rabble (1992). In 2003, she received critical acclaim at various film festivals for Clear Skies After Rain, which she both wrote and directed.
