Concert scenes of the Stooges, MC5, the Velvet Underground, NY Dolls, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, and Nirvana, along with interviews, reveal the origins and spirit of punk rock — its rise and fall, and the passion that still lives on today.

Don Letts

Born in London in 1956, Don Letts is one of the first-generation Black British artists. He was a prominent DJ who led the punk movement in the UK in the late 1970s. After directing the film The Punk Rock Movie (1978), he became a prolific music video director, having directed over 300 works. In 2003, he won a Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video with The Clash: Westway to the World.
