Synopsis

A story of two love affairs. A father’s love for his five sons. And one son’s love for his father, a love so strong it compels him to live a lie. That son is Zac Beaulieu, born on Christmas Day, 1960, different from all his brothers, but desperate to fit in. During the next 20 years, life takes Zac on a surprising and unexpected journey that ultimately leads him to accept his true nature and, even more importantly, leads his father to love him for who he really is.

Director

Jean-Marc Vallée

Born in 1963, Jean-Marc Vallée began his film career with the award-winning short *Stereotypes* (1992), which received recognition at several Canadian film festivals. He has since directed a number of short and feature films. His debut feature *Black List* (1995) was nominated for nine categories at Canada’s prestigious Genie Awards. In 1998, his short film *Magical Words* was invited to the official competition at the Sundance Film Festival. *C.R.A.Z.Y.* is his third feature film.
