Synopsis

Icelandic music hit the international scene with Bjork and the Sugarcubes. In the last decade, several bands and solo acts have followed suit. Sigur Ros, Mum, Bang Gang, Mugison, Minus and Slowblow are a few of the more recent names and there are even more unpronounceable ones to look forward to in the coming years.< It’s different,> is most people’s first reaction on hearing this diverse but highly original music. < Where is all this coming from?>

아리 알렉산더 에르지스 마그누손

1968년 아이슬란드 출생. 1996년 파리 파슨즈 디자인 스쿨을 졸업한 후 아이슬란드, 스웨덴, 프랑스, 영국, 중국 등지의 여러 갤러리에서 그림과 설치미술 그리고 비디오 아트 작품 전시회를 열었다. 최근 들어서는 다큐멘터리 영화작업에 집중하고 있다.
