Synopsis

Director Fernando Trueba, who directed , winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, as well as Two Much starting Antonio Banderas and s starring Penelope Cruz, is known for his love of music and started to devote himself to Latin jazz since coming into contact with some musicians during his filmmaking in 1980’s. Through this documentary, made in 2000, he presents his affection for Latin jazz with his whole heart. With the impassioned and glamorous musical performances of the Latin jazz musicians who excel in this ensemble including percussionist Tito Puente who won a Grammy Award as a godfather of Latin jazz, Bebo Valdes, Chucho Valdes who held a concert in Korea this year, barefooted Brazilan pianist Eliane Elias, an Argentinean saxophonist Gato Barbieri and New York-based Jerry Gonzalez, this documentary tells a history of Latin jazz.
