Synopsis

The Pixies are a Hard Rock group formed in Boston in 1986, who went through many stages of fame and released 5 albums during 6 years until the band was abruptly disbanded by leader Charles Thompson. They have had a heavy influence on the later alternative music scene: Bono in U2 remembered that the Pixies were one of the best bands, and Kurt Cobain also recommended , the Pixies’ album from 1968, as his most favorite album. This film documents the band from the first rehearsal of their 2004 reunion tour to the final concert of that year, and displays the four artists’ joys and sorrows when meeting again 12 years after the breakup. It looks at the private lives and family relationships of each member as they took their own course after the breakup, along with the tight tension among members before the tour, and then covers performances of hit songs such as ‘Where is My Mind’, ‘Gouge Away’ and ‘Hey.’ It is a homage to the Pixies by two young filmmakers who genuinely loved their music.
