Synopsis

Bluntly acknowledging the challenges of blindness, Sila Namtao, a blind and pragmatic pianist wrestles with the possibility that his professionalism may have dulled his love for music. It certainly hasn’t dulled his skill.

  • Pen-ek Ratanaruang
  • Born in 1962, Pen-ek Ratanaruang is a Thai filmmaker and screenwriter. He is famous for his art house film *Last Life in the Universe* and is regarded as one of the leading directors in Thai cinema alongside Witthaya Thongyooyong and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. His debut film *Fun Bar Karaoke* (1997) premiered in Berlin and was shown at various film festivals. His third feature film *Monrak Transistor* was first showcased at the Directors' Fortnight at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
