Synopsis

An enigmatic musical poet, world-renowned pianist Glenn Gould continues to captivate twenty-seven years after his untimely death. This film weaves together an unprecedented array of never before seen footage of Gould, photographs and excerpts from his private home recordings and diaries plus personal interviews with Gould’s most intimate friends and lovers, some who have never spoken about him publicly before, to reconstruct his thoughts on music, art, society, love, and life.

  • Peter Raymond
  • Peter Raymond, a filmmaker, journalist, and writer, has produced over 100 documentaries and series in his 38-year career. His documentary "Shake Hands with the Devil" won the Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and the 2007 Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary. He is currently working on the third season of the popular CBC TV series "Border Special Investigations."

  • Michel Oje
  • Michel Oje grew up in Montreal and majored in journalism at Concordia University. A two-time Gemini Award-winning documentary editor, he has been working in the Canadian film industry since 1987 and has worked in production and editing at the National Film Board of Canada. Recently, he edited the feature documentary "The Promise of the Dead: Ariel Dorfman's Exile," which won the top prize at the 2007 Toronto Film Festival.
