Synopsis

A story of three different but close friends in a high school of art: Jungwoo, a genius cellist with an absolute sense of pitch but lacking in kindness, Myoung-jin, also a cellist passionate but overshadowed by Jung-woo, and Ji-eun, a pianist with a lovely smile. With a concours ahead, Jung-woo conflicts with Myoung-jin over Ji-eun’s accompaniment for the competition. What is worse, the score of “Magic,” a music composed by Ji-eun disappears. Now their relationship goes wrong with their love, friendship and sense of inferiority or inability.

  • Born in 1984 in Incheon, Koo Hye-sun debuted as an actress in 2002. Since 2008, she has directed several short films, including "Cheerful Assistant," "You," "Pieces of Memory," and "Mystery Pink." From 2010, she began directing and producing feature films such as "Magic," "Peach Tree," and "Daughter." She acted and directed the MBC documentary "Heo Nanseolheon" (2014), which won the Grand Prix in the Biographies & Autobiographies category at the 48th Houston International Film Festival.
