Synopsis

A poor musician Kim Woo-jin’s life seems to be filled with misfortunes. Someone plagiarized his music and his girlfriend dumped him. Coming down to a friend’s house in their hometown with a broken heart, he makes music for a musical his college senior asked and tries to forget all about the impoverishing city life, to establish a small musical academy targeting neighborhood kids. However an old lady with an innocent look constantly comes to the house and disturbs Woo-jin’s peace. He inevitably learns to coexist with this unwanted visitor and through her, he looks back at his previous life . By the delicate direction of new talent Jeon So-hyun, various kinds of music including folk song, classic, rock and etc., which actual musicians perform, harmonizes with this heartwarming story.

  • 전소현 감독은 음악과 관련된 글을 쓰고 선곡하는 일을 오랫동안 직업으로 삼아왔다. 2000년에 음악 자체를 형상화시킨 단편 실험작 를 발표한 바 있다. <기타가 웃는다>는 그녀의 첫 번째 장편영화로, 영화에 삽입된 음악‘사람의 풍경 ’의 가사를 직접 쓰기도 했다.
