Synopsis

This is a story about family and identity. The film portrays Lavinia Meijer, living in the Netherlands but adopted from South Korea. She is one of the top harp players in the world. After her cum laude graduation at the conservatory, she now plays on the most prestigious stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall. She is invited to perform in her country of birth, South Korea, during the New Year’s Concert in the biggest concert hall in Korea: Seoul Arts Center. For the first time, she returns to the country she left as a small adopted girl. While Lavinia decides to focus on the concert and not to dig into her roots, she cannot escape the questions and thoughts about her Korean past. The longer the journey lasts, the more important her personal journey becomes. The doubts about her identity result in an important decision that will raise the pressure on the upcoming concert to the max.
