Synopsis

A-Sen was born into a stubborn family. His grandfather and father force him to move from a music class to a regular class because they believe it will lead him to a better future. However, A-Sen joins a rock band against his family’s wishes and travels to Taipei to participate in a music competition. After A-Sen’s band passes the preliminary round, his grandfather’s health worsens, and his family falls into chaos. The band members cannot understand why he wants to quit. Slowly, A-Sen’s father begins to see himself in his son. He finally realizes his sorrow has grown since he gave up his love for rock and roll.

  • In 2000, he worked as the cinematographer for Director So Zobin’s *Better Than Sex*. He was then invited by the Singapore production company Movieola and became an in-house director. In 2005, he worked on the cinematography for *Dangerous Minds*, which aired on Taiwan's PTS and won Best Drama at the 2007 Golden Bell Awards. In 2009, his first feature film, *Peak Youth*, won the Gold Prize at the GIO Production Support Awards.
