Chico and Rita

Cuba, 1948. Chico is a pianist with big dreams, and Rita is a beautiful singer with a wonderful voice. Music and romantic desires pull them together, but their journey from Havana to Las Vegas brings heartbreak and pain. The unique animated music film vividly depicts the process of Cuban jazz musicians moving to the United States to introduce "Afro-Cuban jazz." With Bebop Valdés' piano pieces flowing through the entire film, the unforgettable Latin numbers like "Bésame Mucho" and "Lily" are an essential part of the film's charm and power.
