Synopsis

Twelve years have passed since an earthquake almost destroyed the Armenian city of Leninakan. Loussiné, a 12-year-old orphan, was born on the day of the earthquake. She is mute but a talented pianist. She lives with her grandfather Hovanès, a respected musician, in a domik – a prefabricated small house. Loussiné is preparing for an upcoming international piano competition. The government has lent her a piano to practice with. The problem is where to put the piano...

  • Born in Leninakan, Armenia, now renamed Gumri. He studied theater at the Yerevan Arts College and worked as an actor at the Araspel and Baldanadjemyan theaters in Gumri. After obtaining a Master's degree in Film from Paris 8 University, he directed short films at a French production company.
