Synopsis

Helmut celebrates his 60th birthday on the day that he is actually turning 57 due to a miscalculation by his wife. In this movie, the facade of petit-bourgeois domesticity is peeled away as old friends drop by to offer some well-meaning advice but end up making bizarre declarations of love and the transience of life.

  • Born in Switzerland in 1984. After completing the European Film course at the University of Denmark in 2005 and 2006, he studied social anthropology, film studies, and political science at the University of Zurich for a year. Since October 2007, he has been studying directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
