Synopsis

Na-mi is a middle-class housewife. While visiting her mother in the hospital, she is reunited with her friend, Chun-hwa. The two happily reminisce about the good old days. Na-mi was a transfer student, and Chun-hwa welcomed the new girl into her clique called ‘Sunny’. Now, Chun-hwa is terminally ill and asks Na-mi to gather the old members of ‘Sunny’ for one last time before she dies.

His first feature film *Speed Scandal* (2008) won several awards, including the Best New Director Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, the Best New Director Award from the Korean Film Critics Association, and the Asian New Talent Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival. *Sunny* is his second feature, and it became a massive hit in South Korea, attracting over 7 million viewers in the first half of 2011.
