Synopsis

A young mother, Young-yi, is an impoverished teenager. Taking care of her baby and working as a sea woman are part of her everyday life. Forced to desert her only child and live with anxiety, she can only weep. On the island, life is becoming increasingly difficult, with only the wind, stones, and women around. One day, the baby's cry seems unusual, so she heads to call the clinic but encounters strange men along the way.

  • Oh Myeol has been active since 1998, starting with the cultural group 'Terror J' and the street arts festival 'Flowers on the Head' before founding the Jafari Institute. After directing the short films *Lipstick Heavily Applied* and *Flowers on the Head*, his 2009 feature film *Hey, That Ear* won the Jury Special Award at the 6th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, gaining recognition. Following works such as *Bongddol* and *Ieodo* in 2011, *Jiseul – The Unfinished Time 2* won 3 awards, including the CGV MovieCollage Award at the 17th Busan International Film Festival. It also won the Jury Prize at the 29th Sundance Film Festival. His fifth film, *Golden Chariot of the Sky*, is in preparation, and he is also conceptualizing his next project.
