Synopsis

​For the past 15 years, South Korea has been increasingly present in the field of Western classical music. The Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium is a good example. In 1995, there was not a single Korean candidate in the first round. In 2011, there were 22, among which was the first Korean to win the prestigious competition. The same trend can be seen in all 55 big international music competitions. Never before in the music history, has been such a phenomenon. What happened to this country? Why the sudden infatuation with a music so different from that of far Eastern culture? ​

  • 브뤼셀 대학에서 음악학을 전공했다. 로로는 벨기에 방송국 RTBF에서 음악감독으로 일하며 콘서트와 오페라 방송 분야에서 두각을 나타냈다.​

  • 단편 영화를 찍은 후 TV 프로그램 감독으로 RTBF에 합류하였다. 2001년에는 브뤼셀에서 시골 마을로 이주한 벨기에 가족의 수난을 다룬 다큐멘터리 <베냉에서의 약속>를 연출한 바 있다.​
