Synopsis

Ogu-gut is a shamanic ritual in which a shaman or exorcist comforts the soul of the dead and prays for their smooth passage into eternity. It is a festival for both the living and the dead and an essential art tradition in the history of festivals in Korea. The camera calmly follows the footsteps of Mr. Heo’s friends and the procedure of Ogu-gut through which the soul of the dead is brought into the world of the living.
