Synopsis

After a triumphant career as long as their own lives, Katia and Marielle Labeque, the most exceptional pianists of our time, are still tackling the most exciting challenges. Their love for and commitment to Spanish culture led them to establish their artistic residence in Valladolid during the 2011/2012 season, a challenge to match the others that they impose on themselves. Their artistic residence in Valladolid offers an exceptional opportunity to visit the Labeques’ fascinating creative universe, their constant search for ways in which to develop as artists and women and increase their artistic and social commitment to Spain.

  • 1990년대 초부터 스페인의 방송국에서 감독, 제작자로 일했다. 다큐멘터리를 연출하기 전에 주요 영화제에서 수상한 단편들을 만들었고, 2000년 첫 작품 <헐리웃의 브뉘엘>을 만든 데 이어 페드로 알모도바르 감독에 대한 작품 <알모도바르의 20세기>를 만들었다. 2010년에는 베네수엘라 오케스트라 시스템에 대한 <천 개의 오케스트라의 땅>를 만들었다.
