Synopsis

Toni Riff, a Bosnian rock star from the 1980s, came to Slovenia during the war in ex-Yugoslavia and married his fan, Sonia. He has been inactive for the past two decades. Sonia earns a living as a phone-sex operator. One of her clients is Max, a hotel owner, who offers to organize a comeback concert for the former star. Upon arriving at the hotel, Toni, shocked by the concert announcement, hides in a hotel room named after him. Sonia begs him to perform, believing that a concert is the only way out of his depression.

  • Born in Sarajevo, Miloslav Mandic graduated from the Columbia University Film School in New York. His film *The Worker’s Wedding* won the Grand Prix at the Krakow Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Melbourne Film Festival. *Walking on Water* received the Grand Prix at the Strasbourg Film Festival, and his works have been invited to several festivals, including Locarno and Oberhausen.
