Synopsis

Vincent and Antoine, fans of the 80s, are small-time producers of look-alike celebrities. Between sentimental woes and the whims of their pseudo-celebrities, the business eventually collapses. On the eve of bankruptcy, they find a box of old 45s: Jeanne Mas, Jean-Luc Lahaye, Lio, Peter & Sloane, Francois Feldman, Images, Sabrina, Gilbert Montagne, and all the hits from the 80s. Immediately, a spark ignites: why not go to the real stars of the 80s and organize a concert tour with these forgotten stars? What starts as a hassle becomes a real hit in the provinces, eventually leading to their triumph at the Stade de France.

  • Frédéric Forestier
  • Born in 1969, Frédéric Forestier made his short film *Paranoïa* in 1993 and moved to the United States, where he made his feature debut with the action film *Peacekeepers* in 1997. In 2008, he co-directed *Asterix: Mission Olympic Games* with Thomas Langmann. They reunited for *Star 80*. Thomas Langmann, the son of director Claude Berri, is also renowned as an actor but now focuses entirely on directing.
