Synopsis

There are many rock festivals around the world but in terms of history, amount of performances, the level of the lineup, and number of participants, Roskilde Festival held in the suburbs of Copenhagen is the one that rivals Glastonbury Festival, considered to be the largest in the world. This festival, which begins on the last Thursday of June and runs for 8 days, began in 1973 and is known to attract over 100 thousand visitors each year. Director Ulrik Wivel filmed for 8 years to document the Roskilde chronicles featuring the likes of Sonic Youth, Rufus Wainwright and Placebo.
