Synopsis

Paderewski: The Man of Action, Success and Fame presents a history of the great Polish patriot, world-famous pianist, composer, statesman, diplomat, politician and philanthropist. Thanks to Paderewski, Poland regained independence after World War I. Paderewski’s great and memorable actions are discussed by several historical witnesses, including the U.S. presidents Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, and Poland’s president Lech Wałęsa etc. The film features Paderewski’s own piano performances. The film received a Certificate of Merit at the Chicago International Film Festival Television Awards, 2014.

  • Bolesław Dąbrowski
  • Born in 1947. He studied cultural studies at the University of Łódź in Poland. From 1971 to 1989, he held various positions in the Polish Jazz Association. Since 1990, he has been an independent producer in TV, film, and film music. In 2013, he was awarded the “Gloria Artis” medal for his contribution to culture by the Polish Ministry of Culture.
