Synopsis

Marina, who struggles to make a living playing the bandoneon in buses and subways, attends an audition. Rodolfo Mederos, who is organizing a traditional Tango orchestra with young musicians, invites her to join the new orchestra. However, there is one condition: she must replace her instrument with a Double A, the Stradivarius of bandoneons. Meeting various obstacles along the way, can she finally acquire the instrument and join the orchestra?

  • Alejandro Saderman
  • Born in Argentina, Alejandro Saderman began his career making short films. In 1990, he won the Best Documentary Director award for his film Invitation to Dance. In 1993, he founded his own film company, ASP, and directed his first feature film, The Knocking on My Door, which won awards at various film festivals. In 2003, he returned to Argentina and created a feature documentary-fiction film about tango, The Last Bandoneon.
