Synopsis

Marina, hardly making a living by playing the bandoneon in buses and subways, attends an audition, and Rodolfo Mederos, who is organizing a typical Tango orchestra with young musicians, invites her to join the new orchestra. There is one condition however: she has to replace her instrument with a Double A, the Stradivarius of bandoneons. Meeting various obstacles, can she finally get the instrument and join the orchestra?

  • 아르헨티나 출신으로 단편 영화를 만들면서 경력을 시작했다. 1990년에 만든 <춤으로의 초대>로 다큐멘터리 감독 대상을 받았다. 1993년 자신의 영화사인 ASP를 설립해 첫 장편 영화 <내 방문의 노크 소리>를 연출했고, 이 작품은 여러 영화제에서 수상했다. 2003년 아르헨티나로 돌아와 탱고에 관한 장편 픽션 다큐멘터리 <라스트 반도네온>을 만들었다.
