Synopsis

There is a particular moment right before fame strikes a young musician – between the full flowering of talent and believing in a dream that is so pure and strong it feels bulletproof – which at the same time is almost imperceptible as it is happening. In watching Malcolm Brickhouse and Jarad Dawkins of the band Unlocking the Truth, this metaphysical friction is in full effect.

  • Luke Meyer has made documentaries such as Da Con, which won the Audience Award at the 2006 SXSW Film Festival, and New World Order, and has edited and produced films like King Kelly and Alice Neel. Meyer, who works at SeeThink Films, is currently making two documentaries set for release next year.
