Synopsis

In Echo, two kinds of life coexist. A life of a teacher and a life of a student. Due to generation gap, two lives are in conflict. However, this conflict is a necessary process to move on to the next stage: the old generation's strong sense of duty to preserve traditions, and the young generations' growing pains in a harsh reality. Both generations sympathize with each other by the medium of 'sound', in the Maehwa Gukak(Korean traditional music) in Training Institute of a master singer Park Chu-ja, located in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

  • 1987년 태어난 김정홍은 인제대학교에서 철학을 전공했다. 2010년 첫 작품, <의학, 인문학에 길을 묻다>를 만들었고, TV 프로그램 <학교에서 길을 찾다>(2012)의 조연출, 영화 <누구에게나 찬란한>(2014)의 조연출을 거쳐 <울림>을 만들었다.
