Synopsis

Man-chul once had a dream to be a singer, but his dream never materialized due to unforeseen circumstances. As an old man now, he still thinks about singing till the break of dawn and having fun. His life now instead, is with his wife Chun-ja who has always been there for him and sacrificed for the good of their family. Recently, she has found herself falling asleep unexpectedly. At first, she blamed her sudden bouts of sleep on tiredness, but later was diagnosed with the disease, 'hypnolepsy'. After his wife’s diagnosis, Man-chul struggled to be supportive of his wife. As her condition grew direr, Man-chul begins to realize how important this wife was in his life. So he tries hard to be the husband that Chun-ja deserves, hoping for more time together.

  • Born in 1982, Noh Jae-hyun majored in directing at Myongji University. He worked as a production manager for the 2011 film On the Way to Millwood, and Wake Up, Chun-ja is his first feature film.
