Synopsis

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the composer Edward Kazasyan discovers that his late wife, the singer Lia Ivanova who survived communist camps, was forced to work for the secret services. Their files in the archives of the State Security and the diary of her childhood reveal the complicated fate of the singer rushing to the big stage and her ‘second life’ imposed by the system. The film is based on personal history of a famous Bulgarian singer.​

  • 1943년 불가리아 오스트로프에서 태어난 스파소프는 모스크바 영화학교에서 촬영을 공부했고, 1971년부터 극영화와 다큐멘터리를 포함하는 많은 작품의 촬영을 맡는 한편, 1993년에는 직접 쓴 시나리오로 만든 극영화 <용서의 날>로 감독 데뷔를 했다. 2005년 작품 <도둑맞은 눈>은 50개가 넘는 영화제에서 상영되었고, <싱잉 슈즈>는 2016년 모스크바 영화제에서 처음 상영되었다.
