<13th JIMFF Trailer: Day and Night>

One afternoon, in a quiet alleyway, the patterned walls of a traditional hanok come into view. In the left corner of the wall, a young girl is seen playing an instrument.

As the instrument begins to play a melody, night starts to sweep in from the right side of the wall. Like waves, darkness flows in, and a clear boundary between day and night forms at the center of the screen. From the shadowy side of the alley, a woman appears—walking as if in slow motion, her movements flowing like a dance.

The woman walks toward the girl with the instrument, and with her, the night continues to flow in. She gently tilts her head, casting a glance at the girl, then vanishes like a ghost into the edge of the frame. The girl, curious, pushes her instrument across the boundary into the night. Then, slowly, she herself crosses over. She walks into the world of night. The boundary of night pushes away the day, leaving only darkness in the alley. And in that stillness, the dancing woman approaches the girl once more. The two stand face to face.
