Synopsis

The waves of the North Sea crash against a dock, and the sun shines in a blue sky. A children's orchestra, Dixieland, is playing a march and a teacher is listening. This happy time seems to last forever, but it is inevitable that children grow up. The orchestra's plaques and instruments sparkle in the sun, and all the children face their fate.

  • Roman Bondarchuk, an award-winning documentary director, is a member of the Ukrainian National Film Union and serves as the artistic director of the International Human Rights Film Festival. His first feature documentary, Ukrainian Sheriff (2015), was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards in 2017. He is currently working on his first feature film, Volcano.
