Synopsis

​Rock & Roll spread the sound of freedom across the Iron Curtain and throughout Eastern Europe and the USSR, despite Communist attempts to outlaw it and to crush what they perceived was a contamination of their youth. Over the next 30 years, thousands of underground bands and millions of young fans who yearned for Western values helped fuel the nonviolent implosion of the Soviet regime.​​

  • 프로듀서 겸 감독, 각본가, 촬영 감독인 짐 브라운은 에미상을 4번 수상했고, 지난 40년 간 많은 인기와 평단의 호평을 받은 음악 다큐멘터리들을 만들어왔다. <우디 거스리: 하드 트레블링>(1984), <피트 시거: 파워 오브 송>(2007), <해리 벨라폰테: 싱 유어 송>(2012) 등의 다큐멘터리를 만들었다. 현재 뉴욕대학교 티쉬 예술대학의 종신교수로 재직 중이다.
