Synopsis

Mostar Sevdah Reunion is a world music band founded after the end of the war in the former Yugoslavia. Through interviews with musicians and other local artists, with the accompaniment of the songs of the group, with their typical balkan taste, the film narrates the social and cultural tension in Mostar, a city in the balance between a pitied past and an uncertain future.

  • Lucio De Candia was born in 1976 in Trani, Italy. Since 2007, he has studied directing and criticism at the European Film Academy "Griffith" in Rome. After his first short film The Last Day, he created the short documentary My Land and later directed his first mid-length documentary, Balkan Blues.
