Synopsis

This film portrays the turbulent life and extraordinary talent of soul singer, Joe Cocker. A former gas fitter, Joe Cocker was catapulted to world stardom in 1969 at Woodstock with his legendary performance of the Beatles song, ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’. But as his stardom increased, the pressures mounted and in the 1970s, Joe Cocker’s inner demons nearly killed him. The film documents how Joe overcame his struggles with alcohol and drugs. ​
