Synopsis

A sockpuppet strolls through niveous winterworlds as we hear the music by Schubert. The dark expressionist black and white imagery oscillates between comedy and tragedy. Soon the protagonist will choose to end his life, while the lonesome journey by Schubert has only just begun.​​

  • Born in Dresden, Germany, Henning Backhaus has worked in various fields, including broadcast directing, projection, lighting, sound, and editing. He studied under director Michael Haneke at the Vienna Film Academy and made his short film debut with <Local Hero> in 2013.
