We take a look back at his life through interviews and his personal life.

Program Note

This documentary serves as a heartfelt tribute to the late Japanese jazz icon, Isao Suzuki, who passed away the previous year. Filmed just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it showcases Suzuki in his 80s, collaborating with young musicians and actively pursuing his global tour. The film offers insights into his musical journey, including anecdotes of being inspired by Louis Armstrong's performance in the 1950s. Though Suzuki, who expressed his desire to play music until he turned 100, is no longer with us, the recorded performances and heartfelt testimonies from his fellow musicians serve as a powerful reminder of his enduring legacy.
