Synopsis
Two stardom-chasing “hell-rockers” become delusional after the house they were living in illegally is demolished. They are forced to face the streets alone and become punk rockers after turning forty. A frantic meta-documentary that unfolds over the years through different aesthetics and multiple realities.
Program Note
This documentary follows Barcelona's underground heavy metal band, Carne de Satán, for over three years, from being kicked out by the police while busking to releasing an album with a music label. The members, fueled by their rebellious spirit, and the production crew, who navigate the challenges of filming during the pandemic, create a remarkable synergy. This movie captures both the essence of music and the art of filmmaking. By incorporating short stories from the documentary production and fictional settings in the music videos, the movie effectively expresses the band's character. With its free-spirited style, this film captivates our eyes and ears, just like the band's music. (Suan Seol)
