Synopsis

Junho tells another bar guest, Dongseok, about Yeonju—a woman he fell for at first sight because she looked just like his ex-girlfriend, Sujeong—but who mysteriously disappeared. A few days later, Junho says the police came to question him, revealing that Yeonju had died in front of the bar. Dongseok then confesses that Yeonju was actually his girlfriend, and today marks the 49th day since her passing. Later, Eunyoung asks Junho about his most unforgettable memory. As he brings up Yeonju, Eunyoung is shocked by the story. Before leaving town, Eunyoung says goodbye. Regretful, Junho suddenly realizes: Yeonju was a fantasy—Eunyoung is the real Yeonju.

Program Note

A regular customer visits the owner of a cherished LP bar located in a redevelopment zone. But trailing close behind her is a young, ambitious man directly involved in the redevelopment project that threatens not only the neighborhood but the bar itself. As the bar owner observes the relationship between the two guests, his gaze begins to entwine with the larger situation like puzzle pieces falling into place. Time blurs between past and present, and through this layered narrative, long-held memories and emotions surface. The film's tightly woven mystery structure invites curiosity, while actor Park Ho-san delivers a deeply emotional performance as the bar owner. (Park Kkot)
