Synopsis

After serving 15 years in prison for a murder she didn’t commit, Jenny tries to suppress her self-destructive hatred through prayer. One day, she meets Omar, a talented singer and Syrian refugee, and dreams of entering a music competition with him. However, one of the competition judges is Fleischer—the true culprit behind the murder Jenny was accused of, and her first love. Jenny must choose between a consuming desire for revenge and the fragile happiness she's rediscovered through Omar.

Program Note

15 Years Later serves as a sequel to the 2007 film Four Minutes. After spending 15 years in prison, Jenny hides her past and works as a cleaner at a music school, suppressing her passion for piano. When Mangold, a pianist she once competed against, recognizes her and pushes her to reclaim her identity as a musician, the film unfolds into an unpredictable narrative. Once again, Hannah Herzsprung delivers a powerful performance as the emotionally volatile Jenny, steering the film through an emotional rollercoaster that mirrors her character's inner turmoil.
