Synopsis

After the sudden death of his older brother, who loved jazz, Han Tae-i loses his passion for music and wanders aimlessly for a long time. Then Yoon Se-heon, a transfer student, appears and plays a jazz piece that Tae-i's brother used to love in the school practice room, unsettling Tae-i. Although Se-heon majors in classical music, he secretly yearns for jazz. The two frequently clash over the use of the practice room, but as they gradually learn more about each other, their relationship begins to grow more complicated...

Program Note

Just Like Jazz: The Movie is based on the drama of the same name. Set in a high school, it follows two young students who meet by fate and, despite constant bickering, slowly grow closer as they come to understand each other. The sweet love story closely follows the classic formula of a school youth romance. The emotional fantasy often portrayed in the BL genre is interwoven with the protagonists' complex feelings surrounding jazz, resulting in many charming moments. Performances by Jin Kwon as Yoon Se-heon and Ji Ho-geun as Han Tae-i are both solid. (Choi Eun-young)
